Lucius Fontenot is known most for his photographs of Louisiana,

but his work spans to painting, sculpture, film, and music.

He investigates his Cajun and Creole culture through the eye of a staunch culture bearer, having spent over a decade working in non-profits promoting Louisiana French.

He has made pilgrimages to Acadie, and studied French

two years in a row at Université St-Anne.

In addition to his work as a visual artist, he is a founding member of

Valcour Records and an organizer of the Faquetaique Courir de Mardi Gras Run,

both based in the Eunice, Louisiana area.
